Walter Reichle - Pastor

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

My name is Walter Reichle and I was the pastor at Iron Mountain First and Quinnesec United Methodist Churches from 2012 until July 1, 2023 when I became the pastor at First Global Methodist Church of Iron Mountain.

Born and raised in a small town in southeast Michigan the youngest of five boys.  I hold an associate’s degree from St. Clair County Community College, a bachelor’s degree from NMU,  pastoral certificate from MTSO, and am currently ordained through the Global Methodist Church.

I am divorced with two sons and a stepdaughter.  I had the call to be a pastor in my teens but ran from that call.  After retiring from police work I answered the call to ministry.  I enjoy showing the Love of Christ in both word and action.  I look forward to what God has planned for the new denomination.


Jan VanHaute - Secretary



Jan VanHaute has been our church secretary for 13 years and has been a member of the Methodist church most of her life.

She sings with the church choir, helps out at the community meals and is a member of the First Methodist Women’s ( FMW)  group of which she is the secretary.  The First Methodist Women are an active part of the church with the Annual Cornish Market, Annual Rummage/bake sale, and many other activities throughout the year.

Jan believes the Bible is God’s unchangeable Word, and if you have faith in Jesus, He can bring you through any circumstance in life.

Debbie Poulson - Pianist and Choir Director



"I have been a member of this church for over 36 years. My husband and I raised our 2 children in this church and have been active in many areas. As a retired music teacher, I love being able to share my musical gifts. Not only do I play the piano for most church functions, but I am also the Choir Director. I also love to help in the hospitality area. My focus is to work wherever the Lord leads me." 

Dean Brunett - Custodian



"Dean was raised in Ohio and has lived in Iron Mountain for about 20 years. He has attended First Church for about 6 years and has been custodian most of that time. Dean loves being part of our church family."
